One of the most popular healthy dishes in the Asian Mediterranean
Freekeh is produced from harvested wheat at the end of the ripening phase, when it is still in a green colour; it is then harvested and slightly dried. Then it is roasted by burning, then dried for a second time, separated from impurities, and then grinded into coarse and soft grains according to use.
Fresh from the Quinoa!
Freekeh is very similar to quinoa in terms of its nutritional value and content of proteins and fiber because of its high nutritional value and low fat content, it has become more favourable to lovers of healthy eating; as the same amount of freekeh contains twice the fiber contained in quinoa. This makes an excellent source for healthy eating. One of the most important benefits of freekeh is that it facilitates digestion, due to its high fiber content, so eating it helps significantly increase digestive health, weight control, and eye health. Freekeh is a great source of important and essential antioxidants, containing lutein and zeaxanthin, which are antioxidants known for their ability to fight cell aging.
